Our Story
Boujee Katt is a celebration of curvy women who embrace their unique style and unapologetic love for fashion. As the founder, I’ve faced my own challenges with body image, from growing up in a family with a history of obesity to experiencing weight gain after becoming a mother at 14. Despite those challenges, I’ve always known one thing: my size does not define my style. Boujee Katt was born out of my passion for making fashion inclusive, bold, and accessible to women like me, who deserve to feel runway-ready no matter their size.
This boutique isn’t just a store—it’s a movement. We’re rewriting the rules of fashion by offering high-quality, trendy clothing exclusively for curvier body types. The idea for Boujee Katt took root during a couples’ trip I planned with my husband and friends in 2020. I was ready to show up in style, scouring websites and boutiques for pieces that would make me feel sexy, confident, and on-trend for Miami. But when the packages started arriving, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The quality was poor, the sizing was wildly off, and the clothes didn’t live up to my vision of boujee, effortless style.
It was then I realized there was a real gap in the market. Curvy women deserved better than settling for pieces that either didn’t fit or lacked the high-fashion vibes we crave. That’s when I made the decision to launch Boujee Katt—a boutique where I personally try on every piece and ensure it fits, flatters, and feels luxurious. I searched relentlessly for American wholesalers that would give curvy women access to the same trendy, high-quality clothing as our smaller counterparts—if not better!
But Boujee Katt is more than just a boutique. It’s a community of women who empower each other through fashion, confidence, and body positivity. Our Boujee Babes, a group of stunning, curvy models, showcase how our clothing is made to celebrate curves, not hide them. And our Plus Size & Boujee – Detroit Facebook group has become a safe space where women share fashion tips, seek advice, and support each other’s businesses.
We’re just getting started. My vision for Boujee Katt goes beyond selling clothes—I want to create a global community of confident, fashionable, curvy women who can no longer be ignored by the fashion industry.
